Southern Maryland Senior Portraits

Well senior portrait season is in full swing.  I LOVE this time of year!  Tons of gorgeous subjects who follow directions and who don’t make me work up a sweat chasing them down and doing silly dances to make them smile.  Don’t get me wrong, I adore my tiny subjects, but senior portraits are nice for a change of pace for a couple months out of the year.  :)

I just finished proofing this beauty’s session and I couldn’t help but share some here.  LOVED her outfits!!  LOVED her session!  I hope she has an amazing senior year!!!

Sometimes you just know | Southern Maryland Senior Portraits

Sometimes when I am in the middle of a session I get a shot that I just know is going to be THE shot.  This was it for this senior session:

This is my second “little sister” this year.  I took her sister’s senior portraits two years ago.  It’s frightening how quickly time passes!

I made her wait…| St. Mary’s County Senior portraits

This poor girl has been waiting too long to view her proofs.  Apparently I am completely dense because it never occurred to me (until recently) that having three children means that colds have one more little person to make miserable in my house.  I learned a few other things over the course of the past three weeks as well.  Do they get sick all at once?  Nope .  Do they do it when the pediatrician is in town holding regular office hours?  Nope.  Do they do it when the covering pediatrician is in the office closest to us?  Nope.  (Had to drive 45 minutes to the Dunkirk office three times in the last two weeks).  The poor baby is sick right now and on breathing treatments.  :(   I can’t tell you how much I am hoping that he can kick this soon so we are all better and resting comfortably at night again.

Anyway, the moral of the story is that this poor senior has been forced to wait since I’ve only been able to grab a few moments here and there to work the past couple of weeks.  Her gallery will finish uploading tonight so I am really hoping that she will be thrilled and they will be worth the wait!  Here’s a little peek…

A Senior Guy…Finally!! | Calvert County Senior Portraits

This is my first senior guy from the class of 2010.  The girls’ sessions begin in June because they are so excited about their senior portraits, but I usually don’t see the guys until school is about to start.  I really enjoyed meeting this senior and his family.  I love the way his portraits came out.  Even if he wouldn’t jump into the pool for me….  ;)

One of my last of the Class of ‘08

I have one more senior session to proof and then that’s it for the Class of 2008. Just in time for my phone to start ringing with requests from the Class of ‘09. :) Anyway, I can not tell you how much I loved proofing this session! First off, it was for a senior GUY! I think I have one guy for every 10-15 senior girls, so it is always fun to get them in front of my camera. Secondly, he and his family were just so nice to work with. I’m thinking about hiring his little brother as an assistant. He kept his big bro laughing the entire time. And lastly, well, just look at him! I hope I don’t break any teenage hearts by posting these here. Oops! I hope I’m not embarassing him. ;) I’ll shut up now.
